Welcome/Opening – A Template for Tourism Board Success

Step
One: Developing
Partnerships & Strategic Relationships
It’s important
to know what the local tourism providers are experiencing with their
(and your!) visitors. This session will describe who you should
partner with and how to utilize the relationships to benefit both
parties. Case studies will be presented.
SPEAKERS: Jack Wert, Executive
Director, Greater Naples, Marco Island, Everglades CVB; Dave Littleton of Away.com; Kerri Post, Vice
President of New Product Development, VISIT FLORIDA

Step
Two:
Conducting An Inventory of Your Destination
Before you can effectively market your destination and develop a
comprehensive catalogue of trips to increase visitation, you need to
know how to identify your assets. An inventory template and case
studies will be presented.
SPEAKERS: Harvey Campbell,
Executive Director of Columbia County Tourist Development Council;
Jack Wert, Executive Director, Greater Naples, Marco
Island, Everglades CVB; Susanne Hunt, Publications Editor, Bureau of

Three:
Expanding Opportunities by Destination Marketing
Knowing your
partners and assets, you can begin expanding the perception and
awareness of your “outside” market to travelers. This session will
use case studies to show effective messaging and discuss the need
for measurability and methodology of tracking visitors to
destinations.
