Headquartered in New York City, with chapters throughout the United States, Canada and Africa, ATA was established in 1975 to promote tourism to the continent of Africa. The primary objective is to promote the tourist attractions of the Continent and to educate people about the products and services offered by the tourism industry in Africa.
 
 
  American Hiking Society
  Founded in 1976 to unite the hiking community, American Hiking Society is the only national organization dedicated to establishing, protecting, and maintaining America's foot trails. AHS programs champion hiking conservation issues, build partnerships between public and private stakeholders, and provide critical resources to enable trail advocates to plan, fund and develop trails in their own communities.

  Works with high school students to unite education, technology and the outdoors. Our program creates global learning through international expeditions: our students travel to foreign countries to set up donated computer labs. They are responsible for teaching foreign students how to maintain the hardware and use the software. Then we use these new international connections to enhance learning in our American classrooms. We invite kids from our participating schools to develop problem solving and leadership skills through online expeditions where they can meet students from all over the world, learn from different cultures and develop life-long friendships.
